ABOUT BLURD: THE ORIGINAL BLUR TRIBUTE BAND
Blurd is the UK's longest-running and most authentic tribute to Britpop legends Blur. Together since 2006, Blurd has performed as far afield as the Dublin Academy and the Isle of Wight Festival.
The approach is simple; to sound like and look like Blur, and thousands of music lovers, festival-goers, and fans of Blur testify that they do just that!
The last few years have been manic for the band, headlining stages at the Isle of Wight Festival and London’s O2, appearing at festivals alongside acts such as The Farm, Inspiral Carpets, The Happy Mondays, Cast, Lightning Seeds, Primal Scream, The Charlatans and more, as well as frequenting many university events and being asked to appear in a BBC documentary and a film about the rise of Britpop!
Notable gigs in the 400+ they've played are:
Santa Pod BugJam (2008 & 2016); The Isle of Wight Festival (2013); TribFest (2014, 2015 & 2016); the legendary Scala in London (2014 with OasisUK); The Academy in Dublin (2015 with Live Forever); Newcastle's famous Cluny (2015); ShiiineOn Weekender (2015); The London O2 (2015 & 2017 with Oas-is); PennFest (2017) and Beano on The Sea (2017)
A LITTLE TASTE OF BLURD LIVE
Whilst we could go for a fancy, overproduced video we thought a live view from the stage would give you more of a flavour of the energy!
